Northport, NY (Mar 27, 2020): PROfessional CONsulting Technologies, LLC (d.b.a. PROCON), announced it has been awarded Federal PRIME contract#36C24220P0756, to provide direct support to the Department of Veteran Affairs COVID-19 Emergency Response Plan , which provides the protection of Veterans and staff from acquiring COVID-19 infection by leveraging technology, communications as well as using dedicated staff and space to care for COVID-19 patients.
Ron Moore, CEO and staff are honored to support this global threat by providing new communications infrastructure installations as required due to COVID-19 emergency at the James J. Peters Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). The scope of contract covers installation and operation of new communications infrastructure installation as required because of COVID-19 global threats, including:
- Design, build and install new VAMC communications infrastructures
- Updating and upgrading existing communications infrastructure installations as required at the Northport VAMC to accomplish the Information, Communications and Information (ICT) mission for medical purposes
- Perform both inside and outside infrastructure cabling design and implementation (i.e., cabling, fiber, terminations and mounts)
- Install, upgrade, repair and removal of communications equipment, communications transport cabling
- Design, configure and install all VAMC wireless LAN mounting; fiber optic cable, splicing and termination of fiber optic cable;
- Develop VAMC health information standard operating procedures, written instructions, applicable standards and specifications, and in accordance with recognized industry practices
- Provide consultation on VAMC and government standard processes, cyber policies, procedures, requirements, and practices is required
- Assist medical staff, doctors, and nurses in meeting time critical requirements, i.e. emergency outage repairs and site surveys that may occur multiple times per week
